How does it work?
Like any well-functioning thing essentially MER has a quite simple principle of action. The device is mounted on the fuel line before the low-pressure pump. In practice, the pump sucks fuel from the tank through the meter. It crosses out the possibility of theft of fuel,by disconnecting the hoses for the excess fuel.
The main mechanical part of the probe is a prismatic body of aluminum alloy with two inputs and two outputs. Its center has a chamber divided by a membrane. The fuel enters in one half of the chamber. When filled it inflates the membrane which makes contact with the studs, rolled in the chamber wall. The circuit is closed, the control unit receives a signal that the camera is full and detects the amount of fuel in it. Here special distributing electronic valves come into play - three of which are also produced in Bulgaria. The fuel that filled the part of the chamber goes to the engine and fuel coming from the tank begins to fill the other side of the flowmeter. And alternately, the system detects the portions fuel that passed through each of the individual compartments.
Why is it so accurate?
There are several reasons for the great accuracy of MER. For the measurement are used equal portions of fuel which leads to accumulation of error. In comparison with the pulse flowmeter, taking into account the fuel passed through the nozzles work with small and variable amounts of fuel - depending on load. Thus, the error relative to the total amount of fuel becomes considerably higher. Moreover, with the new and advanced model of MEP the returned fuel from the motor is not counted and will not go into the tank. With a bypass it returns to the engine. Thus the temperature of the entering fuel into the flowmeter remains relatively constant and minimize error again. It also features an automatic venting, so when required - you will not need a specialist send from the manufacturer to come to the truck or machine.
MEP is installed once and a car, after the coarse filter before the low pressure pump. This is not a device, which can be used to measure in one car today, and tomorrow another. On the site in question is installed flowmeter which consists of measuring the mechanical part and the control electronics. The electronic part is associated with GPS-module that is installed in the car. The system is ready for operation.
With flowmeter and GPS-module for one car, the customer receives free software updates for life . Installed on a computer in the office this software displays information in the form of a roadmap and tables. Real-time map shows where the cars (with their registration numbers) equipped with the system and receive the following information: whether the engine is running; what are instant and average fuel consumption; whether machines are in place or no the move.
